Dr. Rūta Žiliukaitė is from Lithuania. She is a is a sociologist specialising in civil society, values, and social research methodology.

She is Senior Researcher at the Vytautas Kavolis Transdisciplinary Research Institute and Head of the Department and Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Vytautas Magnus University. Her research focuses on civic engagement, social values, and longitudinal social research, and she has led and contributed to numerous national and international research projects. She is the author and co-author of several books and peer-reviewed publications, and a shareholder of Transparency International Lithuania.
